While many of us sleep, Jose Roberto works the graveyard shift securing the vehicles of others. He sits at his desk in a crisp white shirt and red tie occasionally glossing over the premises. Little would a simple bystander know that he sits at his desk connecting with people any way that he can in hopes of helping one million of them achieve their long term goals.
The recent Cal State Fullerton grad was changed after earning his degree in psychology. According to Roberto, psychology has the tendency to outline all the negatives in our society in hopes of finding an explanation for things perceived as wrong or out of the norm. Roberto chooses to focus his energy and efforts towards highlighting the psychology of success, goals and the process along the way. With Joel Osteen’s “Making Plans For Success” and his own research, he is motivated to help one million people achieve their goals.
His own personal long term goal is to become a millionaire so that he can further donate and help more people.
He currently reaches out to people in person and on the internet through the support group Best Club Ever (BCE), which he founded. This club is intended to bring people at all milestones in their lives together to “Pay It Forward,” a slogan often coined by Roberto. The club provides friendship and support to members on their journey towards achieving their goals by bringing them together to help each other. Roberto often hosts contests for members where he helps students, working individuals and other members achieve their goals by providing a cash reward, courtesy of his own pocket.
Roberto asserts that his club is a work in progress and that he much like his club members is learning a lot on the journey towards his goal. Roberto is currently teaching himself marketing, advertising, film production and graphic design strategies. Roberto claims BCE is helping him be the best individual he can to serve the greater population.
The philanthropic nature of this club is to establish a chain reaction where every club member helps someone else to achieve their goals. Roberto acknowledges that people have been achieving their goals for centuries, but he finds that many people are consciously aware of their short term goals, but not how they relate to the long term scope.
Since the long term scope can seem intimidating to many, Roberto has manufactured a formula to combine both the short and long term perspective involved with goals. The Achievement Formula is described as “A TRIP,” a journey seems endless, but a trip may be the first step towards achieving long term success. This formula stands for Achievement, Time, Resources, Intelligence, and Passion to achieve the necessary goals.
Roberto hopes that BCE will establish many chapters in different areas so that people can strive for their personalized version of success together. In five years he hopes to be halfway with his goal of helping one million people through BCE. His vision is to have clubs all over the nation working for a greater tomorrow. He hopes by then to be able to dedicate some of his time to world peace, the liberation of persecuted peoples and global human rights issues.
